MK Dons vs Bristol Rovers - 19th August In October 2002 The Gas Trust passed a motion at its AGM stating that the Trust "condemns the decision of the Football Association Commission to "support the effective destruction of Wimbledon Football Club by allowing the move to Milton Keynes." The Trust also resolved to "Support a boycott of all away games involving the current Wimbledon F.C. Ltd [now MK Dons] whether these be at Milton Keynes or Selhurst Park or any other venue until such time as the plans are withdrawn." Four years on, Rovers are facing their first trip to play MK Dons and we urge fans not to travel to a club that is effectively a franchise and to continue to demonstrate that football supporters are firmly against franchising of football. The Gas Trust continues to support the boycott of games in Milton Keynes and hopes that Rovers fans will join our board in staying away on the 19th August.
